My personal taste seems to have changed significantly over the past few years, and as I get that little bit older, I am very much aware of clothes that make me feel comfortable, sexy, and sophisticated. Shorter skirts have been tossed out of my wardrobe, and in their place are longer hems, softer lines, and more flattering shapes. I'm taking more pride in my appearance, and understanding what makes me feel beautiful! 

It's something that comes with age. Five years ago I would never have dreamed about flaunting my figure in a pencil dress, but now, slipping in to one feels so empowering. Fashion is about self-expression, and when we find something that truly epitomises who we are, we should wear it with pride.

If there's ever any excuse to dress up and be a complete Glamour Puss, you'll always find me first in line. I enjoy nothing more than getting dressed up. It's no secret - vanity is my biggest sin. 

In my opinion, every girl needs at least one staple LBD in her wardrobe that she can turn to again and again and it will never go out of style. At first, I was really apprehensive about biting the bullet and investing in a pencil dress number, but I'm a great believer that it does us good to get out of our comfort zone every once in a while and do something that scares us. And when that leap of faith pays off, it can be oh-so rewarding.

Outfit Of The Evening - Dinner Date | Just Add Ginger

Spotto is here visiting me! Last night we went out to Frankie & Benny's for cocktails and dinner! I decided to dress up a little bit because going out at the weekend is something I really enjoy, and it's nice to feel special when you've spent all week in slouchy clothes!

I thought this outfit was effortlessly chic, and didn't look like it took too much time to put together. I think it would be perfect for a night out with friend's, a casual school/office look, or even a date night.

Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and change my style. I look back at some pictures and... 'What on earth was I thinking' runs through my mind! So, with that in mind I've put together a few outfits for a "Back To School Lookbook" that I would wear now if I was going back to school this term. 

If you are heading to college/university soon, I think it's really important to take key versatile pieces with you. You will be shopping at uni, and have major influences and changes to your style. I know when I was at uni, there was one certain person who really inspired my style and fashion choices...those influences are still with me six years on!
