This week it is half term. That means a whole week off work for me.
The weather has been a bit grey and miserable lately, but today, when I woke up, the sun was shining, and the sky was a gorgeous blue. I knew I had to take advantage of this, and venture out into the great outdoors.
I'm fortunate enough to live a few minutes walk away from a lovely park. I don't have a garden, so it's great to be a hop, skip and a jump away from some greenery. I spent an hour just walking around, taking photographs, and just people-watching. The weather was perfect reflective weather, so I sat for about 15 minutes, just taking in the sunshine. It's amazing how being in the sun can just immediately lift your mood.
Sometimes, it's so easy to get wrapped up in the stresses of everyday life that it's hard to stop and just appreciate what we have in life. We all should take a little bit of time out of each day to sit back and reflect on the amazing things we do have, and not focusing on what we don't. This walk today was my time to do this!
I also got the chance to think about plans for this week. Over the weekend, there were a few big changes that I made to my house, and it's brought a completely different vibe to my little cave. Tomorrow, I'm going for a massage at the Lush Spa, and then, at the weekend, catching up with some friends from down South. When you've got time off away from work/uni/school, you've got to use it as best you can. Holiday time is limited, and I know I'm going to make the most of it!
