On Good Friday, we decided to make a new tradition and took ourselves off for a walk. The weather was not as nice as hoped, so instead of going for the original plan of travelling quite far to do our walk, The Wirral was our chosen destination.

I've lived on Merseyside heading on for nine years, but The Wirral is somewhere I haven't spent much time. Donning my waterproof trousers and jacket, and bundled up in layers to keep the cold off, we headed out to West Kirby

Packed lunch, jelly babies and water in tow we walked from West Kirby up to Hoylake. It was pretty grey and cloudy, with the odd spit of rain, but it was lovely being outside. The beach we walked along almost looked like something from another planet. So vast and peaceful and beautiful. It's funny how being outside really puts everything in to perspective. There was laughter, there were tears, and there were good memories made that day.

It was a perfect day.

  3. Love the pictures, especially of Doc posing! I need to go walking more, I just prefer to do it with a little more sun in the sky haha!
