Extraverted iNtuitive Feeling Judging
It is actually quite scary how accurate I'm finding parts of the results of this test to be. I'm normally quite dubious about online "tests." I take the questions and their conclusions with a pinch of salt (how much can answering a few questions really get to the core of your make up?) But because this test puts my personality into a "type," I really quite like the outcomes. It's pretty much describing exactly who I am, and picking up on things I do actually find myself doing/being.
Parts that are particularly true (all quotes from http://typelogic.com/enfj.html) :
"ENFJs generally believe in their dreams, and see themselves as helpers and enablers, which they usually are."
I definitely always try to help people as much as I can. Not because I'm looking for anything in return, but if there's a way I can help somebody out - no matter how great or small - I want to help. It's the same with helping make things happen for people. If there is a boundary or obstacle that is standing in the way of somebody wanting to achieve something, then I want to help knock it down. "No" isn't really an answer I like to accept.
If there's a will there's a way.
I also am completely driven by my dreams. I know exactly where I want to be and what I want to do with my life and this is something that is a constant driving force and motivation for me. My dreams may have to divert on to a different course at some points, but I never give up on them and strive every day to help fulfil them.
"Face-to-face relationships are intense, personable and warm, though they may be so infrequently achieved that intimate friendships are rare."
I don't have a large circle of friends, but those in my circle are incredibly important to me and I like to take as much time as possible to work on my friendships and relationships with people. My friends mean the world to me; living as far away from my family as I do my friends are like my second family, so I hold them close and cherish every one of them. I'm incredibly passionate as well, and when I love somebody, I feel it in every fibre of my being. It takes a while for me to open up to my feelings, but when I do, I don't hold back.
But on the other side of the coin, if somebody hurts me, or somebody I love, I usually can forgive them, but I do not forget easily. My protectiveness comes in to play and I want to safeguard the feelings of others.
"ENFJs are continually looking for newer and better solutions to benefit their extensive family, staff, or organization."
I wouldn't really class myself as a "peace keeper" or a "problem solver," but just as I like to try and help people as much as I can, I also take this and use it to try and help people solve problems or make things better for them (or me.) Because my dreams are a big part of who I am, and a lot of that has to do with my realm of work, I push myself to develop my own skills so that I can be a of greater benefit at work, and constantly learn new things and help make my work setting even better.
When it comes to friends and family, I always try to help out where I can, and do things that aren't necessarily asked of me but that I know will make things easier for them. I always want to put myself forward and offer support to those who need it, and hopefully make that moment/day/week/month/year better for the people I love....even if that just means making somebody a cup of tea, or being a shoulder to cry on.
Any body else an ENJF like me? Here are some more good links I found:
