I haven't hidden the fact that my skin is less than perfect. Even now, as I gradually approach the big 30, I still suffer from breakouts, redness, and sometimes very unhappy skin. I am always on the hunt for skincare products that will give my face a bit of TLC, whilst still being gentle and nourishing.
Until the ESPA Herbal Spafresh Spritzer came in to my life, I had never tried any of their products before. It's not really a brand that I had heard mentioned a lot, so I think I'd always been a bit scared of taking the plunge and testing anything out. But in the spirit of trying something new, I decided it was high time to give something new a go.
Toning products are a bit alien to me. As a self-professed lazy girl, I like products that will just get the job done quickly and with minimal effort. I don't like the fuss. I value my bed time too much to spend hours on a skincare routine.
Which is why I love this little gem of a product so much. Firstly, let's talk about the ingredients shall we? Including a mix of essential oil "distillates," witch hazel, elderflower and peppermint the spritzer really works to battle blemishes, clear out congestion and make your skin look and feel fantastic. Which it does. I cannot tell you how much my skin has improved since I brought this in to my routine. And whereas I can't be 100000% that it was because if the spritzer that my skin sorted itself out, I would lay money on this being the main contributing factor.
All the ingredients combined give the spritzer a gorgeous scent too. To me, it smells very luxurious and very much like a spa product would and should smell. It is warm and a bit spicy, and the witch hazel comes through subtly, which adds a bit of zing to let you know it's there and ready to wage war on those pesky pimples for you. If you're not a fan of scented face products though, this might not be the right choice for you. But for me, who, half-asleep performs her skincare routine in the early morning light, the scent really perks me up.
So. How do you use this little bottle of herb-infused joy? Simply spray directly on to your freshly cleansed face (and neck and upper décolletée too,) then wipe off with a clean, slightly damp cotton wool pad. Easy as pie. And great to do even if you are standing in front of your mirror bleary-eyed and still longing for the cosiness of your bed. Instead of spraying it on to my face (at that time in the morning I might miss and end up getting it in my eye or something) I spray the solution on to a cotton pad first before I apply it to my face. And this works just as well as using it directly on your face. would.
The ESPA Herbal Spafresh Spritzer retails for £19.00 for 100ml (I found this price on their website.) It may seem a bit steep if you're not used to spending loads on skincare, but for those of you out there who suffer with skin issues (especially oily/combination skin qualms like me,) I'd definitely consider adding this to your collection. It has done my skin the world of good. It looks and feels better than it has in a good long while. After having it for nearly four months, and using it every morning, I am only just a quarter of the way through, so you definitely get your money's worth.
